Successful China Entry & Exceeded Annual Revenue Targets
Overview
As part of Herschel’s global expansion, we engaged from the initial setup phase to establish their first international office outside Canada and launch their business in the Chinese market. To unlock new revenue streams in China, the project encompassed everything from strategic e-commerce setup to hands-on consulting, bridging severe technical and cultural gaps between global headquarters and local execution partners.
The Challenge
Entering Asia for the first time presented Herschel with unprecedented challenges. Unlike Western markets, China’s unique digital ecosystem—characterized by strict network constraints, non-Google infrastructure, and distinct e-commerce platforms—demanded a complete recalibration of their technical architecture and marketing communications.
The Solution
Leveraging proven expertise from Converse China, we conducted deep-dive technical education sessions for Herschel's Canadian headquarters to align them with China's digital landscape. Simultaneously, we led hands-on team building with local vendors, bridging cultural and operational gaps to establish a seamless workflow for long-term growth.
